MR. GINN

Mr. Newell W. Ginn, 80, of Augusta, Kentucky died Thursday, April 7, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Florence, Ky. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jo Sayers Ginn, who died November 9, 2014.

Newell was born in Lewis County, Kentucky on September 5, 1935 to his parents, the late Woodrow and Bertha Mae Harris Ginn. He was a retired farmer, an avid deer hunter, and a Kentucky Colonel.

He leaves behind two sons, Scott (Alysia) Ginn of Nicholasville, Ky and Michael Ginn of Augusta; one daughter, Robin Ginn of Georgetown, Ky; two brothers, Donnie (Rita) Ginn of Vanceburg, Ky and Bobby Ginn of Tollesboro, Ky; and three sisters, Dottie Edwards, Beverly Sue Lewis, and Jeretha Kinney, all of Vanceburg, Ky. Survivors also include three grandchildren, Laura Fogle, Joshua Ginn, and Alyssa Ginn; three great-grandchildren, Reagan Fogle, Audrey Fogle, and Kayleigh Ginn; his first wife, Linda Ogden; and two sisters-in-law, Sharon Sayers and Margie (Bob) England.

He was preceded in death by his son, Clinton Wayne Ginn; and two sisters, Betty Ginn and Judy Miracle.

Funeral services will be on Monday, April 11, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at the Metcalfe-Hennessey Funeral Home in Augusta.

Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Bracken County, Ky.

Visitation will be on Sunday, April 10, 2016 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
